Children are a blessing. No matter if you choose to have you’re own, to have none or to adopt, to have one or seven, children are a blessing. Of course, they mean lots of hard (unpaid) work. Work that often goes unnoticed and is often not even appreciated. While this remains something that needs to be dealt with, I wish our society would celebrate children. As well as their parents. Children are a great gift from above we can all learn from and become better humans ourselves – if we have our own and if we don’t have any.
I’ve always thought that pregnant women have something special. I remember that even as a kid I noticed that they were somehow beautifully shining. The same I could observe with many men waiting to finally meet their baby. As I grew older, it’s been a great joy to witness many of my friends expect a baby of their own. To some, I was close enough to listen to their wishes and anticipation, as well as to complaints and worries. And yet, I have kept wondering how even in moments of discontent, they are simply incredibly beautiful.
Since this friend of mine didn’t fully trust my words, I am so happy that I convinced them to spontaneously do this. It was lots of fun and it has brought me deep joy. The most precious thing for me was that now she could see the truth.
You’ll see. Their joy is palpable. Their love for each other and the unborn child is visible. The joyful anticipation real. Both of them are simply beautiful humans.
Thank you for letting me close. I feel honored.
P.S.: I can’t wait to get to know your beautiful baby boy!
